Singletary Solitary Cue Sheet

Looking for a four lake tour with more solitary woodlands than you've ver seen on a one day ride? Try the Singletary Solitary. Quiet NC Forests, the tourist laden White Lake, the well developed Bay Tree Lake and the solitude of Jones Lake make a nice break for this 55 mile ride, with an optional loop for a metric century. Several good gas stations and grills are available for your refueling needs along the way.

Parking at the Lake Singletary Park Ranger Office.

Ride West (right) on 53 from Lake Singletary, for 4 miles,

North (right) on White Lake Dr, for 2.5 miles

Be sure to stop at the Pavilion and check out the white sand and clear water beach of White Lake (half way down Dr).

East (right) onto 41 (turn is on frontage road just before BP station) BP has a grill and restrooms, for 8 miles.

Visit the lovely Bay Tree Lake community and Black Lake (gate on right about 6 miles)

North (left) on 210, for about 5 miles.

Gas station a few miles on right.

Turn South (left) 710, for 1 mile

West (right) on State 1525 (Bull Rd), for 5 miles.

Turns (left) into State 1002 headed to Ammon, for 5 miles.

South (left) on 242, for 12 miles.

Store at corner in Ammon has a grill and rest rooms.

Turn (right) into Jones Lake State Park (rest rooms, water) and cool your feet at the Jones Lake Beach.

Back track 242 N West a few hundred feet and turn N east (right) on State 1511, for 3.3 miles.

Turn North (left) 701, for 1.7 miles

Turn east (right) on 53 for 6.5 miles.

If looking for a Metric Century turn left at White Lake Dr and loop the lake with 701 west (left) and 53 east (left) again urn left into Camp at Lake Singletary.
