Oak Island , Cue Sheet

Meet behind Margaret Rudd Reality on Price Street.   The ride is usually a little slower than Sunday's pace and rambles along the Elizabeth St, following the marsh all the way to Yatch Dr.  This takes Yatch to the end of the Island where it overlooks Davis Canal.  This makes of a nice quiet place to catch the creek smells, the marsh bird action and chunk down a power bar.  Then its off down West Oak Island Dr to take a right at Middleton.  This is the only bridge for miles, so don't miss it.  After catching any supplies at the Beach Pantry, take the second right down Dolphin Dr.  Ride it til it ends, then swing a left over to Beach drive.  Follow the westward leg all the way to the vere right at Kings Lynn Drive.  The turnaround at the end of the Island is another good place to catch your breath and enjoy the sights.   Then follow the same route back out, staying on East Beach Drive all the way down the Island.  This will eventually turn left and pass our favorite breakfast spot at Edna's Kitchen (often a Friday morning breakfast stop). Then cross over Oak Island drive to catch Yatch Dr for the ride back along the scenic Intercoastal Waterway.  Total mileage will run around 25.
